That’s why my MISSION READY audit begins with a one-on-one phone call with you – so you can explain exactly what you want your book to do.
Once I have that information in hand, I review your Table of Contents and read either the first chapter (if you’re still in the middle of writing) or the finished manuscript.
If you’re in good shape, I’ll happily let you know.
But in reality, every single author I’ve ever worked with has needed help being consistent in language and approach and in staying on track.
That’s why, after our conversation and my review, I send a detailed list of specific spots where your book has lost its way, along with suggested “fixes” to get you and it back on track.
We’ll have a wrap-up phone call to discuss if you want, but usually, the audit is so detailed and clear that it’s all you need.

Susan Trivers is an in-demand business coach and strategist whose book, Singular Focus, will “help companies take the right actions at the right time to create dramatic business growth.”
She sent me her Table of Contents (TOC) and one completed chapter to review. I had already had some conversations with Susan about the mission for her book, so I dove right into the chapter and TOC. I loved what I read, but found several spots where things had gotten a little muddy. I sent a very detailed review that noted the book’s particular strengths but also pointed out specific problems that prevented the book from being as powerful and compelling as it could be.
Initially, here’s how Susan responded:
